My Story
After Rotterdam Nautical college and a few years at sea, Sander Nijveen started his career at a small stevedoring company in Rotterdam, as a ship agent, forwarder, and stevedore in 1988, in 1992 he joined Arpa shipping BV, a coastal company which was operating 32 coastal vessels by the end of 2002.
After 11 years and learning the job of broker, he started in 2003 at NYKI Shipping BV, partnering as a chartering house for 16 coasters with a range of 1,600 up to 6,000 DWCC. Due to high compliance and the crash of the banks he decided to change the company to a broker/forwarding company which is still up and running today, now under the name Wave international shipping & Chartering VOF.
Due to a wide range of knowledge we are able to provide customers with a wide range of services NOT only brokerage!
